Fire Suppression
Collectively, we protect structures ranging from trailers to multi-million dollar properties.
Our fire training is mission critical
Our firefighters go through an intense recruit academy before ever responding to a call, and then continue to train and hone their skills throughout their career.

We serve approximately 40,000 residents, asking our crews to fix, repair, control, mitigate, and in general perform tasks requiring a wide range of skills and competencies.
NWFR has a standard first-in officer set of rules we follow when arriving on scene that is set up by the Whatcom County Fire & EMS Operations Manual. At times we provide mutual aid that cross boundaries into other districts and cities of Whatcom County.
